United Arab Emirates, also known as Emirates, Al Amarat, or Al-Imarat. Abbreviation used on large scale for United Arab Emirates is UAE. United Arab Emirates is located in Western Asia. On the Eastern border of UAE Oman is located while on the southern boarder Saudi Arabia is located. The sea boarder of UAE on the western side is Qatar and Northern side is Iran. The location of country is on South East of Arabian Peninsula. The United Arab Emirates system is a pure monarchy.

The country is a federation of seven independent states. These seven states of UAE are Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain. People mistakes to call the states of UAE as United Arab Emirates countries.

Abu Dhabi is working Capital of United Arab Emirates. The system work by the way that each of the state have its own independent ruler. All of these seven rulers together made a Federal Supreme Council. The Federal Supreme Council select of the leader from these seven Leaders of different states who work as president of United Arab Emirates.

As per census of 2013 the total population of 9.2 Million people. This population includes 7.8 million expatriates while United Arab Emirates own population is only 1.2 Million. The ratio of Expatriate to UAE residents are 1 : 5.6. That mean against each local resident the population of expatriates are 5.6. The percentage of expatriates are 85% of total population. As per estimates in 2018, the population of UAE is 9.45 Million People.

The United Arab Emirates is now recognizing as a middle power in world because of its strong foreign policy and memberships of different international organizations. The memberships includes United Nations, the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, OPEC, the Non-Aligned Movement and the Gulf Cooperation Council. The country succeeded in developing relations with big nations like Saudi Arabia and United States also.

  1. Independence of United Arab Emirates

In the sixth decade of 19th Century, the United Kingdom Army was on its downfall. The Kingdom economy was not so good to hold the army in Sheikhdom. The equipment and budget was not so much that it could defend the territory of Sheikhdom any more.  In March 1971, the British Prime Minister Mr. Edward Heath declared the decision to end the treaty of protection of seven states, which includes Qatar and Bahrain. On December 2 1971 in Dubai Guest house, the six states agree to make a union. This Guesthouse now known as Union House. Ras al-Khaimah joined later, on 10 January 1972.

United Arab Emirates is located in Arabian Peninsula and because of this; the climate of UAE is desert climate. There is very hot and sunny summer and a mild cold winter. The heat of area increase with increase in humidity, in summer by Arabian Peninsula and weather become undesirable. The rain is very rare in area and average perception throughout the year is less then 100mm. Most of these rainfalls is in winter days. Most of the Rain Falls are in the month of December and March. Winter, from December to February, is very mild, or pleasantly warm: maximum temperatures range from 24 to 26 °C (76 to 80 °F). Sometimes, especially in January, cool air masses from the north can bring some cool and windy days, with night temperatures around 10/12 °C (50/54 °F) and daytime temperatures around 16/18 °C (61/64 °F).

Summer is very hot and sunny, with daytime temperatures ranging from 39 °C to 42 °C (101 to 107 °F) between June and September, and with the wind from the Persian Gulf that brings moist air from the sea, making the heat sweltering. April and October are also hot months, with highs around 34/36 °C (93/97 °F). During the hottest days, the temperature can reach 47/48 °C (117/118 °F) on the coast, and even more in the interior.

The best time to visit the United Arab Emirates is from November to March. In winter season, the sun is not very hot and it is easy to go outside. One can take sunbath in the winter season as the sun is average hot and sea is enough warm to swim.

Snow is very rare to Sea in United Arab Emirates as it have hot desert weather. There is some arrangements of snow artificial parks for tourists but natural snow is a dream. On 28 December 2004, there was snow recorded in the UAE for the very first time, in the Jebel Jais mountain cluster in Ras al-Khaimah. A few years later, there were more sightings of snow and hail. The Jebel Jais mountain cluster has experienced snow only twice since records began.

Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan is current president of UAE. He, first time appointed as president in 2004. The president is also Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and chairperson of the Supreme Council and Supreme Petroleum Council. He is descender of his father Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who was also the president of UAE before 2004. He is the second formal President of United Arab Emirates. Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai remain the acting president since 2006.

The UAE currency is Dirham, which is an Arabic Word. The Currency name is as old as Ottoman Empire. The People of Ottoman Empire also use word Dirham for currency.

The current flag of United Arab Emirates was adopted on December 2 1971. A young Emirati boy whose name was Abdullah Mohammed Al Maainah designed the UAE flag in 1971. The main theme of four colors of flag was unity of Arabs nations. This flag is four color, which have red, white black and green. All states of UAE use this new flag as sign of federation. Each of the states of United Arab Emirates have red plain flag also. This flag represents the dissension and allegiance to the prophet Muhammad. The flag of President of United Arab Emirates is seprate and have same colors and dimensions of the Fedral UAE Flag but have an eagle in middle.

Red represents hardiness, bravery, strength and courage. The vertical red band is use as binding all the other meanings together in unity. Green represents hope, joy, optimism, and love. It can also symbolize the countries prosperity. White represents peace and honesty. White is the purest color, and is interpreted by some to symbolize cleanliness. Contrary to popular belief, the black band does not represent oil. It stands for the defeat of enemies, and also strength of mind.
