1. Safa Park Dubai History:
Safa Park Dubai was not always that green and developed, like it is today. Before the construction of Safa Park, this area of Dubai was inhabited by the immigrants from South Asia. These people build an unplanned town with material, like scrap material. More and more people become resident of this place as they found building material to build houses. This kind of scrap material come from several ways and a main source of material was the waste of new underdevelopment high building. They take other source for material like wood from Port Rashid which dump at the end of day as a waste. At that time in area there was not facilities like electricity or water or sewerage. These people use oil to light lamps in there huts.
Ladies of the Holy Trinity Church in Dubai started a program to help these people and uplift there health and life structure. These ladies provide food to the people on specific days of week.
These immigrants do not hold the legal immigration. These illegal immigrants were not expelled from country because of the labor need vision of Dubai Government of that time. At the later stages these inhabitants were given amnesty scheme and expelled from the area for the construction of Safa Park Dubai.
2. Safa Park Dubai Construction:
The Safa park Dubai area was expelled in 1973 but the construction was started two years after’s in 1975. In 1984 the government of Dubai started re development of Safa Park and added sanitary utilities and indoor playground in the park. A further redevelopment started in 1989 and 1992. In this redevelopment services facilities were given to park. This redevelopment services took 45 Million AED for completion of project.
3. Safa Park Dubai Birds, Flora and Fauna:
The Safa park Dubai contain over two hundred species of birds and 16924 different trees and bushes. These birds include local and migrated birds as well. The type of birds includes parakeets, geese, kingfishers, wood pigeons and warblers. It is very common to see the lizards in park.
4. Safa Park Structures:
The Safa Park Dubai total land eighty percent is covered with grass. There is a small hill and forest in the area. There are four lakes in Safa Mall, and a water fall which come out of hill and fall into the lake. There is man made facilities like sports courts, cafe, jogging tracks and others.
5. TSafa Park Dubai Ticket price:
The cost of ticket of Safa Park Dubai is 3 AED for Adults while children under the age of 2 years are free to enter. The Tennis court Charge separate fee for playing tennis.
6. Safa Park Dubai Timing:
The Safa Park remain open seven days a week. Timing for Safa park is from Sunday to Wednesday the park open at 8 AM while close are 11 PM. While on Thursday Friday and Saturday the safa park Dubai open at same time but close at 11:30 PM. Tuesday is only for ladies and children and male entry is not allowed.
7. Safa Park Dubai Activities:
Safa Park provides some of the best recreational activities in Dubai. Bike riding is one of the best activity in park. The bikes are also available in the park on rent. The other activities include a very good low impact jogging track for fitness. Sporting facilities, Playing fields and picnic areas to children’s playgrounds and a fairground what is not available in Safa Park?
For the ladies there is a permanent park inside the Safa Park. For the kids the park offer a large variety of Ferries wheels, Giant Trampoline, Bumpy Cars and a lot of other things to enjoy. There is a video gaming zone for children’s as well. There is fountains in the park and touring boats are available in the lake of Safa Park Dubai.
More over if you not want to walk there is a mini train which will take you through the different parts of Park. This train charge a small fee for the journey of park. The Train consist of nine stations where it stops.
8. Safa Park Dubai Sports:
The Sports in Safa Park Dubai includes Biking, Long tennis, Volley ball and Football.
9. Dubai Fitness Challenge at Safa Park Dubai:
The Dubai Fitness challenge was announced by crown prince of Dubai, Shaikh Muhammad bin Rashid. This Fitness challenge will held in Safa Park Dubai. This was a one month challenge which start from October 20th to November 18th year 2017. The public of Dubai was asked to take 30 minute fitness exercise for 30 days by crown prince. People were invited to take free participation in inauguration activities which will remain for two days. For the purpose of renovation for this event the park remained closed for one week before the event.
10. Safa Park Dubai Flea Market:
Flea Market in Safa Park Dubai is a brain child of German-born Melaine Beese’s who started this idea in 2008. The concept of Flea Market is to convert trash to cash. That mean to cluster your unused and extra object and sale to other people who need them. This way one can get cash and get rid of trash.
This is not a permanent market and held on first Saturday of every month. The idea is going very popular now and not there is more than 150 stall table in this market which was not more than 30 two years ago. Once can simply book a stall on phone call and later take confirmation from website about the day and stall number of market? As per estimated the market now attract more than ten thousand people for shopping. Flea Market location is Safa Park Dubai.
11. Safa Park Dubai Food:
Safa Park have some cafes but the most interesting is the BBQ facility provided in the park. Multiple BBQ decks are created and free to use. You can also bring the cooked food and eat in the lush green environment of park.
12. Safa Park Dubai Transport:
The Safa Park is on prime location and in center of down town Dubai. The easiest access to the park is metro train. A red line metro station named as Business Bay station is only on few walking steps from entrance of park. More over the road access make it easy to come by personal car or by taxi. Remember there is parking for car but parking is not free and charge you with small fee.
13. Safa Park Dubai Canal:
The Dubai water canal is a big project with billions of dollars cost. This project some part crossed the Safa Park Dubai. The project of canal given more life to the park as adding more water for birds and plants. It also enhance the beautiful view of Safa Park Dubai. The canal was completed in 2016.
14. Safa Park Dubai Dress code:
There is no specific dress code for Safa park Dubai. Tracking suits with shoes or loose outfits are best choice to visit the park. Visitors must wear modestly and as per the basic culture of Dubai. Covering full face or Abaya is not requirement in Dubai, but your body must not be naked. It's a good idea not to show cleavage or thighs. Wearing Jeans or trousers with T shirt is ok.
