1. Dubai Safari Park Opening and Reopening:
The Dubai Safari Park was firstly opened on 12th of December 2017 for general public. At the time of opening the park had given free entry to public for limited day. This free entry to Dubai Safari Park was for two weeks. The park was closed for the general public because of its renovation and advancement on 15th of May 2018. The expected timeline of reopening of park was 1st of October, 2018. Still park is not open and as per the website of Dubai Safari Park "The park is currently closed – keep checking back for more information". Exact Date of Reopening of Dubai Safari park is not known. The park official pages do not reply to query when park will open.
2. Dubai safari Park Cost of construction:
The Park is constructed with a huge amount of 40.8 million Dollars.
3. Dubai Safari Park Location:
The Dubai Safari Park is located on Al Warqa 5, on Hatta road, opposite of Dragon Mart Dubai. The coordinates of Dubai Safari Park is 25.1775° N, 55.4494° E.
4. Dubai Safari Park Area:
Total Area of Dubai Safari Park is 119 Hectares or 12.8 million Square feet’s or 1.2 square kilometers. This area is approximately equal to 223 football fields. The area is double in size then of Vatican City.
5. Dubai Safari Park Management:
In 2018 Dubai Municipality given the task and signed a contract of maintaining and operating Dubai Safari Park to a company named as Meraas. The company made change in the operation staff and hired one of the most animal’s renowned operator of animal’s park, Mr. Parques Reunidos. His appointment in Dubai Desert Safari is seeing as a major improvement in future inside Dubai Desert Safari.
6. Dubai Safari Park Temperature:
As the temperature of Dubai is hot in all most all weathers because of its desert area. The living of animals of different kinds and from across the world is not practical in Dubai under natural climate. In order to overcome the hot weather the chilled rock air-conditions are used to cool down the temperature of park. Chilled pools and misting matches are created in the Dubai Safari Park.
7. Dubai Safari Park Tickets and Price:
- On providing the identity (Both ID Card and Passport is accepted) of age for children under three and old people above the age of 60 years is free to enter in all areas of Dubai Safari Park.
- The tickets at the opening of Park was free but now it cost 85 AED for full tours which include safari village, if exclude the safari village then ticket is AED 50 only.
- A ticket for children’s cost 30 AED for full tours which include safari village, if exclude the safari village then ticket is AED 20 only.
8. Dubai Safari Park Environment:
The Dubai Safari Park is one of the most important recent addition in Dubai Tourism industry. The Park attract the large number of people. The park contain a beautiful lake and a lush green landscaping. There is Eco friendly vehicles that are available to transport the people from one place to other. Because of Air-conditioned controlled environment the Park do not give a very warm feeling even in summer.
9. Dubai Safari Park Animals:
Currently at the start of Safari Park there have been added 1500 new animals and adopted 1000 animals of old zoo of Dubai. Now the total number of these animals are 2500. These animals belongs to different 250 species of animal world. The park have a plan to expand the number of animals to 5000 in 2020 which will also include 350 animals of endangered animals in world.
The park contain the numerous type of animals for the entertainments. These animals have a long list like Lions, tigers, gazelles, hippos, buffalo, hyena, flamingos, gorillas, chimpanzees, reptiles, and more and more and more.
10. Dubai Safari Park Parking:
There is two kind of Parking’s. On is free parking which is 3500 in number and found around the Dubai Safari Park. The other kind of parking is paid VIP parking. The ticket for that parking is AED 50 per vehicle.
11. Dubai Safari Park Timings:
The Dubai Safari Park remain open from 9 AM to 9 PM except safari village of park. The Safari village timing is from 9 AM to 7 PM. The entrance for the visitors close two hours before the closing time of each section. Simply the visitors can not make entry to safari village after 5 PM and can not enter after 7 PM to other parts of park. It took about five hours to take a complete look of the park. That is minimum estimated time required for a complete visit. Visitors must keep in mind the timings when entering the safari park Dubai. The timing for safari village is 9 AM to 7 PM and its entrance close on 5 PM.
12. Dubai Safari Park Villages:
The Dubai Safari Park have totally five villages in number. All of these villages are created as per the animals from different parts of the world or by activities. The villages are described below!
12.1. Safari Village:
It is the most important and famous village in the Dubai Safari Park. It is also the most liked section of the Dubai Safari park. Without watching Safari Village it is useless to visit the Dubai Safari Park. The beauty of safari village is to take the person to maximum close to the animals from Africa and Asia. The bus is used to carrying the visitors to the forest filled with animals. These vehicles are specially designed as per safety and security concerns. During the journey on bus one can encounter Zebras, Cheetas, Water Buffalo or Deer’s.
Safari Village gives opportunity to encounter with tigers and it is not acceptable a visitor is on safari journey and do not encounter with any lion. In this section one can see the waterfalls which are running on solar power energy. These are artificially created water falls. After this section the crocodiles live view is a thing to watch. It is first drive through from crocodile the most dangerous predator on earth. Drive through crocodile exhibit is one of most loved things in safari village.
12.2. African Village:
When we think about the animals then Africa is the place which comes in our mind. The section have a beautiful collection of white lions. Not forget to watch African wild dogs and of course chimpanzee.
12.3. Arabian Village:
The important animals of Arabia like Wolves, Nylghais and Antelopes living here. The view of this village is really amazing. When you pass from the mountains and desert through the green area containing a large number of Fauna and Flora you will be amazed of scenes.
12.4. Asian Village:
This is tree based section of Dubai Safari Park. Komodo dragons are permanent resident of this village. A number of birds and reptiles are found in this section of the Park.
12.5. Wadi Village:
It is a very big recreational area. The area is creating by keeping in mind the need of tourist after visiting a long safari. In this area one can sit and relax. The ground is lush green while there is ponds of fishes where you can watch fishes or waterfalls.
12.6. KIDs Farm:
It is a newly created section with a view kept in mind of learning for children. In this area children’s are given instruction with basic feeding and farming of animals like hens, goats and sheep’s etc. Milking a cow or ridding pony or collecting eggs of hens are amazing activities for the children’s.
