The house is an example of simplicity of Dubai rulers during the first half of nineteen century. It gives an idea about the culture and living style of Dubai Monarch. This house is currently used as a Museum. The house contains a large variety of photographs of Sheikh and life in Dubai which is preserving the culture of pre oil era of Dubai. The other collections in the Museum include the large variety of documents used by Dubai Monarch at that time. Other valuable includes, coins, jewelry, stamps and items of that era. The displays are distributed onto 9 wings, as follows: The History of Saeed Al Maktoum House, Al Maktoum Family, Old Dubai, Marine Life, Views from Dubai, Social Life in Dubai, Coins and Stamps, Historic Documents and Maps.
Visiting Sheikh Saeed Al-Maktoum House give a diverse idea and opportunity to know about the life style of people of Dubai along with the life style of rulers of Dubai Monarch. It also give a precise idea of relationship of Sheikh Saeed Al-Maktoum with the citizens of Dubai that how strong this relationship was. The house is also witness of the architectural values of people of Dubai. All offices of that time is small and found on the upper floor of the building. While the entrance of the house is refracted, as the person entering the house is confronted by a wall that forces them to turn around it and enter the spacious house hall in an indirect way, where the different general and specific elements of the house are distributed. The direction of house is towards the south west like all other houses of that time. This direction is towards Qibla in Mecca. The concept shows the religious binding of people of Dubai with Islam. The kitchen of house is constructed on the southern part so that sea breeze keep it fresh and cool.
The area of house is 3600 square meters. Tourism guide is provided free but entry fee of AED 3 for Adults and AED 1 for children is applied for entering Sheikh Saeed Al-Maktoum house. Parking is available for free if use rented vehicle or personal vehicle. Metro Station and Public transport Bus station is also available nearby.

There is no specific dress code for Naif Souq Dubai. Visitors must wear modestly and as per the basic culture of Dubai. Covering full face or Abaya is not requirement in Dubai, but your body must not be naked. It's a good idea not to show cleavage or thighs. Wearing Jeans or trousers with T shirt is ok.
